The RM 100 Plus Viscometer is the most flexible viscometer Lamy Rheology Instruments offers. It has the widest speed and torque range, and is compatible with all spindles and temperature control accessories. 

You can connect the instrument to a computer and control the viscometer with the optional Rheotex software. This software will let you save test data directly on your computer, and give you the option to create flow curves using multistep tests. 

Don't want the software? The RM 100 Plus lets you save test results and one-step test parameters directly on the instrument. View your results on the 7" touchscreen, and export data to a computer via USB. 

How Can You Configure It?

There are many options to choose from. Here are a few suggestions. 

Food Industry Configurations

  • Soups, jams, and sauces with solid particles: RM 100 Plus + MK-R4 or MS-VANE 72/2 spindle. (The shape of these spindles helps move the solid particles that could otherwise impact the reading.)
  • Liquid to cream products: RM 100 Plus + MS-DIN 11 or MS-DIN 22 spindle. Add Rheotex software to get viscosity curve, flow curve, yield stress, and thixotropy data. 
  • Creams, soft gels, and pastes: RM 100 CP 2000 Plus Cone-Plate Viscometer + MK-CP 4020 spindle. Add Rheotex software to get viscosity curve, flow curve, yield stress, and thixotropy data. 
  • Chocolate: RM 100 Plus + EVA 100 Temperature Control + MS-C spindle set + VISCO RM software

Cosmetics Industry and Pharmaceutical Industry Configurations

  • Mascara and other heterogenous makeup: RM 100 Plus + MS-R 1-5 spindle set + EVA MS-R Temperature Control.
  • Shampoos and conditioners: RM 100 Plus + MK-R 2-4 spindle set. (Use this set to get UD values.)
  • Liquids to creams: RM 100 Plus + MS-DIN 11 spindle set + MK-DIN 2 spindle + MK-DIN 3 spindle. 

Paints, Coatings and Inks Configurations

  • Liquid to highly concentrated coatings (resins, inks): RM 100 Plus + MS-DIN spindle set. Add Rheotex software to get viscosity curve, flow curve, yield stress, and thixotropy data.
  • Liquid to highly concentrated coatings with ICI Method (ASTM 4287): RM 100 Plus CP 2000 Cone-Plate Viscometer + MK-CP 2445 spindle.
