Peltier Plates and Electric Ovens

EVA thermostatic accessories are Peltier-based, self contained temperature controllers. The Peltier element offers faster temperature regulation than traditional water baths. It is also more sanitary, and easier to maintain. Each EVA accessory is designed to work with specific spindle-types, and may be added on to almost any of the viscometers from Lamy Rheology.

EVA temperature control may also be added to the GT 300 Plus Gel Timer Viscometer. Temperature control options are specific to that instrument and not listed on this page.

Electric RT Ovens offer a solution when temperatures above 150^oC are required. Testing with the RT Ovens involves placing the sample in disposable aluminum cups. 

EVA LR/BV Plus

The EVA LR Plus is compatible with all ASTM (L and R) spindles. It may be used in conjunction with any Lamy viscometer. (LR version of the viscometer recommended.) It offers a temperature range of +15^oC - +45^oC

The EVA BV Plus is compatible with MS-BV spindles. It may be used in conjunction with any Lamy viscometer. It offers a temperature range of +12^oC to +60^oC.

EVA MS-DIN Plus

The EVA MS-DIN Plus is compatible with MS-DIN, MS-SV, MS-ULV, and MS-CHOCOLATE spindles. It may be used with the First Plus, RM 100 Plus, DSR 500 Plus, or RM 200 Plus Viscometers. It offers the following temperature ranges:

• +5^oC to +65^oC (option for temperature progression available)
• +5^oC to +80^oC
• 0^oC to +150^oC
• Room temp to 100^oC (electrical heating)
• -20^oC to 100^oC (chiller required)

The EVA MS-DIN/MS-R Plus is compatible with MS-DIN and MS-R spindles. It may be used with the RM 100 Plus, DSR 500 Plus, or RM 200 Plus Viscometers. It offers the following temperature ranges:

• +5^oC to +65^oC
• -20^oC to 100^oC (chiller required)
• 0^oC to +150^oC (option for temperature progression available)

EVA MS-R Plus

The EVA MS-R Plus is compatible with MS-R spindles. It may be used with the RM 100 Plus, DSR 500 Plus, or RM 200 Plus Viscometers. It can accommodate two viscometers within the single unit. It offers the following temperature ranges:

• +17^oC to +45^oC
• +12^oC to +60^oC

RT-1 and RT-3 Ovens

The RT-1 Oven is an economical electric oven for temperature control. It is compatible with MS-SV, MS-DIN, and MS-ULV spindles, and may be used with the the First Plus, RM 100 Plus, DSR 500 Plus, or RM 200 Plus Viscometers. It offers a temperature range of room temperature to 200^oC, with an option for temperature progression available. It may be used with a disposable aluminum cup.

The RT-3 Oven offers doubled guidance of the geometries for better repeatability. It is compatible with the MS-HT spindles, and may be used with the RM 100 Plus, DSR 500 Plus, or RM 200 Plus Viscometers. It offers a temperature range of room temperature to 300^oC, with an option for temperature progression available. It may be used with a disposable aluminum cup.
