To effectively conduct sieves testing operations beyond the simplest occasional manual sieve test, several components are needed.

The basic element is the sieve. Because of its normal construction, the tolerance of the sieve openings from one sieve to another of the same stated size becomes an important detail. ASTM and ISO provide standards dealing with test sieve construction and acceptable variations of weave openings. Sieve producers offer certification of the construction and stated mesh size.

At the tightest level of tolerance a sieve is produced that is in the center of the tolerance. This is known as a mid-point sieve.

The next level is certified that the mesh has been inspected and that it meet the ASTM or ISO tolerances. This is known as a mesh certified sieve.

The final level of certification is that the sieve has been produced in conformance with ASTM or ISO standards. These are known as working sieves.

All of the mid-point and mesh certified sieves we supply are prepared by Endecotts a world class producer of test sieves. In addition we also supply CSC working sieve.

The second element of the sieve test is the sieve shaker which produces the result. Again there are several levels of precision and repeatability. The shakers we offer range from simple single movement, like the Meinzer II, EFL 2000/2, and the Powermatic, to digitally programmed, such as the Octagon 2000. We also offer shakers that reproduce standard test protocols such as the DuraTap^TM and DuraShake^TM. For small particle analysis our range includes the vacuum sievers, the MLS 200 and Cyclone, and an ultrasonic sifter, the Sonic Sifter .

At the end of the process we provide assistance in producing and analyzing results as well as help in cleaning the sieves.
